How do I connect the Flavor Bottle into the sodastream FOUNTAIN™?

To properly connect the flavor bottle, check out this 'How-To' video and the following steps:


 

  1. Select your desired Flavor Bottle*.
  2. Remove the Flavor Bottle Cap (set aside for future use or recycle) and seal.
  3. Tightly screw on the Flavor Connect Cap to the Flavor Bottle.
    • Please note – the Flavor Connect Cap is not a ‘stand-alone’ product that can be used as a pump outside the sodastream FOUNTAIN™ Sparkling Drink Maker
    • When replacing one Flavor Bottle with another, use a dry paper towel to cover the nozzle to avoid dripping.
  4. Open the Flavor Bottle Door on the front face of the Sparkling Drink Maker.
  5. Attach the Flavor Bottle by pushing the top of the Flavor Connect Cap up and into the flavor bottle slot.
  6. Once the Flavor Connect Cap is in the slot, turn the Dispense Nozzle left until it clicks and locks into place.
  7. When successful, the Flavor Indicator will light up. 
  8. For first-time use of your new Sparkling Drink Maker, run a rinse cycle before making your first drink.
    • Place a Small sized vessel below the Dispense Nozzle. Press the Carbonation Level Button repeatedly until the light indicator lands on Still (no carbonation).
    • Set the Flavor Dial in setting #2.
    • Start the rinse cycle by pressing the Activation Button once.
    • Dispose of the liquid and continue to MAKE YOUR DRINK. Priming steps below are for future Flavor Bottle installation
  9. For best results, whenever attaching a new Flavor Connect Cap to a Flavor Bottle, follow the priming steps to remove any air from the pipeline**;
    1. Place a glass under the Dispense Nozzle.
    2. Set the Flavor Dial on “Boost” (B).
    3. Press the Activation Button x 1 or 2 times until flavor is dispensed:
      Boost x 1 for Zero Sugar / Diet flavors. Boost x 2 for all other flavors.
    4. Rinse the glass and continue to drink making.

* Make sure to use only the new 440ml transparent flavor bottle with pour cap, or it is possible to make unflavored sparkling water when no Flavor Bottle is connected. 

** Priming is only necessary during first use or if the contents of the flavor bottle are fully exhausted. Otherwise, subsequent uses of a primed flavor bottle, even when switched out, should not require repeated priming.
